6.3.0.1789: ctrl doubleclick does not open object in another schema

#1

Hi!

The object is accessible via public synonym in another schema.
This works fine in 6.2.1.
Get following error in output instead:
14:21:31 Could not find .

regards

Hi Torsten,
Could you provide more info? I cannot reproduce the problem. It opens the object both via the public synonym and via …

Roman

Torsten,

A public synonym alone is not enough. You also need to be granted some access (I think execute suffices) to that package.

Hi!

Create following procedure:

PROCEDURE pr_test_quest_public_synonym IS
BEGIN
dbms_output.DISABLE;
END;

Open procedure in code editor.
CTRL-Doubleclick (Strg-Doubleclick on german keyboard) on dbms_output.DISABLE in code editor.
I get error “Could not find s205031.dbms_output” in the output.

Same steps works fine in 6.2.1 and opens dbms_output package with cursor on procedure disable.

So this could not related to grants.

Torsten,

Indeed. Just typing dbms_output.disable in the code editor and doing CTRL-ENTER of (CTRL-doubleclick) behaves differently in 6.3 (tries to find it in the current schema) vs. 6.2.1 (finds the definition in the sys schema). Nice find.

However, if you only type dbms_output, the definition is found also in 6.3. Weird.

Hi All,

We will get this fixed for you in the next build.

Thanks and regards,
