Antwort: RE: Incompatibility with IBM DB2 Run Time Client 10.5

Hi Adam

We tried with different Fix Pack Levels.

The one I have installed right now on my PC is:

C:\Program Files\IBM\10.5\SQLLIB\BIN>``**db2level**

DB21085I This instance or install (instance name, where applicable: "DB2")

uses "32" bits and DB2 code release "SQL10053" with level identifier

"0604010E".

Informational tokens are "DB2 v10.5.300.125", "s140203", "IP23545", and Fix

Pack "3".

Product is installed at "C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\10.5\SQLLIB" with DB2 Copy Name

"RTCL105".

Is that the information you can use?

Thanks and kind regards

Martin

Can you tell me the name of 10.5 DB2 client installer you’re using, and the fixpack number

Hi Adam

We’re connecting to a DB2 for z/OS V10 System, but in between we use a DB2 Connect Gateway on Linux with the following version:

# db2level

DB21085I Instance "db2sti01" uses "64" bits and DB2 code release "SQL09075"

with level identifier "08060107".

Informational tokens are "DB2 v9.7.0.5", "s111017", "IP23292", and Fix Pack

"5".

Product is installed at "/opt/ibm/db2/V9.7".

Perhaps that could be a problem.

kind regards

Martin

Hi Martin,

A 10.5.3 client to a 9.7.5 gateway could definitely be a problem. Especially if a 10.1 client has no problem. Is there a way you can bypass the gateway and connect to the server directly?
