block mode formatting

#1

When I format (ctrl-R) this:
SELECT * FROM DUAL;
I get this:
SELECT *
FROM DUAL;
which is fine.

Now take that same statement:
SELECT * FROM DUAL;
now switch your select mode to Block (right-click, Edit, Selection Mode, Block).
Press ctrl-R, you get this error:
Unrecognized command(s) or statement(s)
Press ctrl-R again, it formats it, but gives you this:
SELECT *
FROM DUAL;
ELECT * FROM DUAL;

Also, the hot-key for the Block mode (alt-F7) does not seem to work either.

Thanks.

Hi Charlie,

The problem you got is not entirely because of Block mode. When you select Block mode and then put the cursor on the statement, it highlights a character in that statement and the result is the strange behaviour you got when format it. Depends on what has been highlighted, the behaviour will be different. (print out error or strange formatting). Just make sure that nothing is highlighted when you do formatting. We will review te Block mode and the Formatting functionality after 6.0 release.

The shortcut key clashes with the comment function so it doesn’t work. We will remove this shortcut key for now.
