bracket highlighting does not seem to work for read-only files in Toad 10.6

I find bracket highlighting very useful. Sometime I look at file that has been
marked as READ-only. I don’t want to change it. I just want to run some
queries in it. But because it is read-only bracket highlighting does not work.

I am unsure of what you mean by bracket highlighting. Please explain. If you are
referring to a feature that does not require editing of the editor contents then
the read-only file state shouldn’t affect query execution.

If you look at the diagram

You will see that the begin bracket is highlighted in line 10 and the end
bracket is highlighted in line 20.

This does not happen when the file is read-only.

Also sometimes when a file is normal (i.e. it can be modified) the highlighting
only kicks in when you make a small change like add a space and then delete it.

I am not seeing this here. Can you sent me a test file offline that reproduces
it?

Thanks,

Michael
