Hello,

Let me ask you a few questions.

  1. Has the problem occured since you started using TDM3?
  2. Or did it occur after any particular operation? - What did you do before it occured?
  3. Have you edited any forms and frames?

Solution:

  1. Please delete your user package from your documents and settings folder.
    OR
  2. Please delete the .txe file from your documents and settings folder (Your autolayout settings will be lost then.)
    Possibly delete both.

This should help.
In any case, we’d very appreciate if you could send us the problematic file (.txg or .txe or both files). We will verify what causes the problem.
Please send it to: modeling@quest.com

Thanks!

Yes

Seemed to always be that way

  1. Have you edited any forms and frames?

Not that I am aware of.

Solution:

  1. Please delete your user package from your documents and settings folder.
    OR
  2. Please delete the .txe file from your documents and settings folder (Your autolayout settings will be lost then.)
    Possibly delete both.

I did both, it didn’t seem to help…it looks the same

I sent the files…

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, we’ve failed to simulate the problem.

Anyway, please check out the DPI setting on your computer:

  1. Right-click the desktop.

  2. Select Properties | Settings tab | click Advanced | General tab | DPI setting combo-box. -> If you have large size selected, please take other steps:

  3. Select the Normal size (96 DPI) item, confirm.

  4. Run TDM 3 and see the Options dialog.

Please let us know the result. Thanks!

Regards,

Vladka

Hello,

Yes I use 120 DPI however all my other applications (including Quest TDM2) look fine with 120 DPI In addition the Entity / Attribute dialgog layouts have a few small layout issues as well.

I am hoping you are not using absolute sizing/position for the dialog box layouts…if so you will have a number of customers with issues…120 DPI is fairly common for those of use that like to take it easy on our eyes.

Just as verification … the layout is fine on 96 DPI.
