Clarificastion about usage of Toad Diagram

#1

Last BETA version of TOAD 6.0 SS.

See my scvreenshot in attach.
As you can see I have two tables dbo.Test and Sergio.Test. The name of these tables is the same but tables are in different schema. DBO and SERGIO.
I drag and drop these 2 tables on TOAD Diagram and I discover that TOAD rename the second as Test_1. See my screenshot in attach.

My question is simple…
If I have two tables with the same name but in different schema there is an option to set in TOAD to show the name in the form of SCHEMA.TABLENAME for example dbo.Test or Sergio.Test ?

If yes, How ?

I stay tune for your answer.

Best regards.

Hi Sergio,

thanks for your question.
Actually you have discovered small defect - toad simply forgot to mention object schema and renamed second table with new name. In my dev environment this small defect is already fixed and you will see it in next beta drop. There are also few improvements will be there to the options how to display table details - column names, types, comments, nullable.

Hi Valentine,

many thank’s for your answer.
When will be available the next beta drop I test it and all news that you describe.

Do you know if there is some news about this other problem :
http://toadforsqlserver.com/thread.jspa?threadID=37987&tstart=0 ?

I open this ticket in November 2012 with TOAD release 5.8.
At now I don’t know something about this.

Best regards.
