Corresponding parentheses are not shown when compilation error occurs

#1

Hi

I’m missing the signs showing the corresponding parentheses when I’ve a compilation problem, like shown in the print screen below :

1200.SQL Navigator 7.3.png

It’s just at this moment, that they are the most useful :wink:

Hi Martin,

Are you execute the script segment in Code Editor? i can get the signs when execute the wrong scripts segment.

Hi Alan

It happens in function/packages/proc. …

Just try with this “stupid” function :

FUNCTION fx_test(ps_filename IN VARCHAR2)

RETURN VARCHAR2 IS
CURSOR c_cites_goods_codes IS
SELECT TO_CHAR(NVL(‘1’, ‘2’), ‘FMOOO’) a, TO_CHAR(NVL(‘1’, ‘2’), ‘FMOOO’) b FROM DUAL;
BEGIN
RETURN ‘OK’;
END;

You’ll get the error by removing the second parameter from the nvl, or a parenthesis, …

PS : I’m in 7.3.0.3967 32bit

Martin
