Creating Dynamic SQL

Can someone jog my memory as to how to create a stub SQL Script from a Table???

Thanks in advance for your help.

I am novice to SQL Navigator. Within SQL Navigator, I believe I have used some utility before to automatically create a stub SQL Script for a Table.

The comment at the top of it states…

Right click on a table and select extract DDL?

Or right click on the data grid and select Preview changes after you modify the data?

I did not mean the DDL. I meant I did something before that automatically created a stub SQL SELECT Script based on the Table I was interested in.

I hope I’m clear.

Thanks in advance for your review and help.

Right click on a table and select ‘Quick Browse’ or ‘Edit data’? Shortcuts are also available.

Hope this helps

Perhaps, you just dragged a table name from DB Explorer into Editor? There’s a preference that controls what’s inserted in this situation: table name, SELECT * FROM , or SELECT FROM .

Hope this helps,
