Default Rules

#1

I downloaded and intalled the Beta version 3.1.1.166. When defining attributes in the Logical Model, I notice that the Valid Rules tab disappears for Character(%p) and other datatypes but appears for BigInt and Integer datatypes. In the Logical Model video it shows it available for character data types. Has this feature be changed since the movie?

Hello Alex,

I notice that the Valid Rules tab disappears for Character(%p) and other datatypes but appears for BigInt and Integer datatypes.

If you mean tab Valid Values, yes, this tab is available only for some data types.
Please see the Help file, Modeling | Logical Data Model | Attributes.
Valid values can be defined for the following data types:
Bigint
Float
Integer
VarChar

In the Logical Model flash movie, VarChar type is selected, therefore the Valid Values tab is displayed.

Nevertheless, it will be available also for ‘Character’ data type. - CR # 37 052.
