Just select a piece of sql statement on a window that has multiple sql
statements and hit F5 to execute the highlighted part. And this error pops up.
Toad does not crash, just hit OK and move on. This error seem to occur at
random. Usuallly I can select and run queries in a window that has multiple
queries displayed, then again sometimes I cannot.

This is the same bug, I am experiencing… To resolve the issue, I have save
off the editor session, Kill Toad SQL Server 5.5.0.683 Beta, then restart the

Application… Problem is if you are connect to one server no problem,
however if you connected to more than one, then there are all manner of things
to save and re-load. I usually have more than 5 editor session open… However,
this error occurs with just one connection and one script… So it
doesn’t matter if there are more connections and sessions.

The fix for this issue is going to be included into next beta build.

Guys, would you please wait for next beta drop to evaluate our fix on your scenarios?
Many thanks in advance!

I got the same. Usually it happens to me when I try to execute script loaded
from file.
Workaround [not always works] is to copy all content to a new editor.

Hi Guys,

It seems to us that we found the solution for this issue. Should be available in
the next beta build. Tracked as CR83934.

Hank and others – please take a look and report if it will be still
actual. Thank you for the help!

regards,

Alexander Maximov
