Exporting to Excel - fails

#1
  1. Excel export menu items are available for Object Explorer so I tried to use
    them…

result - below.

  1. So I tried to use ‘Send to / Export Wizard’. When Excel is running I get
    result as shown below.

‘Next’ is unavailable…

  1. When Excel is not running, I gain same rusult a little bit earlier…

[I assume this option that Toad will start Excel for me]

  1. Quick export works, but result are … strange?

  2. Quick export to Linked Query works fine, altrought report says something was
wrong and no data had been exported.

Event log:

About first issue: I often use export to Excel and get same result. I simple change cells format, from generic to date.

Date become good!

bye

Sorry. I talked about first image; it refers to 4th issue.

Thank you for bring up those issues. Let me answer them one by one.

  1. The tool bar is actually for the data grid. It is identical to the right
click -> Quick export menu. You can put your focus on the data grid and click
    it.

  2. This is a bug. I created CR83004 for it.

  3. I was not able to reproduce it, please try uncheck add Excel worksheet or
other control and refocus the new instance see if it helps.

  4. I was not able to reproduce it either. We use “m/d/yyyy h:mm:ss” for DateTime
column. What is your regional setting? As suggested above, you can apply your
    format to the cell afterwards.

  5. This is a bug. I created CR83005 for it.

Thanks!

So maybe toolbar needs to be disabled when no grid is being selected?

My format is: yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss

Sure I can apply format, but I’m not sure every user will be glad to remember to
review formatting after each data export
