FW: Toad-SS-Beta 5.5.0 - Exportatin destination issue

#1

When attempting to write out 37k rows of data into a SQL insert file. The
exportation would not allow me to select my file destination folder location or
file Id.

Meaning it kept defaulting to the area where it wanted as well as the file name
it wanted:

Meaning, what I wanted à ( C:\Hank_Files\SQL_Code\AllState Agent Data
Cleanup\FX_AllstateRegistrationData.sql would not take by the wizard.

This Makes the Export function difficult to use over SSMS export.

Note: This functionality is working just fine (not broken) in Toad-SS 5.0.2.162

Igor ,

I really want to know how you can take something that is working just fine on
the last official release and not test it thoroughly before it goes to BETA
testing.

The above is quite reproducible and it is very disconcerting to have to report a
bug on an area that was previously not broken.

Either you have some fixes in place here that are not qualified and just pushed
to BETA, or you are not using the correct source code/library on the build, if
in fact no work was done on

The export wizard….

This is one of the hardest concepts to get my mind around, How could you
release something like this to the beta community where it was not broken on the
last release!!

I could be wrong here, so I will review the release notes to see if you were
even in this area. Either way, QA or somebody is failing here.

PLEASE correct me if I am wrong here for as Ricky Ricardo use to say to
Lucy… “Lucy you got some splaining to do here”. Someone
should have to explain to you (IGOR) why this is happening time and time again.

If I had done something like this where I am working or have worked before, I
would have deserved a BOAT-LOAD of criticism and I am sure that the others user
in the Beta community would have done time in the woodshed as well, if they done
something similar as well.

As a Senior Level Architect and SQL Server DBA, I would be all over anyone about
this level of work and I would tie this INACTION or lack of attention to detail
to their paycheck.

Your truly and very Frustrated !!!

Have a Merry Christmas (Bah Humbug)
