Henrik,

In the attached graphic, TOAD –SS Beta totally hung. Version 5.0.0.370…

I was just trying to add a where clause to a simple Select and Toad SS Beta hung
on Line 42… No Support Bundle was available.

Hi Hank,

Henrik fixed a part of the problem and now ToadSS doesn’t crash but to fix
the exception itself we need to reproduce the issue. And I’m not able to
do this. From the other hand, there is a potential problem in the query
returning a list of all synonyms. Can you do us a favor by running the following
query in your environment and sending the result set back to me?

USE ; – substitute database name here

SET NOCOUNT ON;

SELECT

obj.name as [Name],

sc.name as [Schema],

ISNULL(PARSENAME( base_object_ name, 3), N’’) as [BaseObjectDatabase ],

PARSENAME(base_ object_name, 2) as [BaseObjectSchema] ,

PARSENAME(base_ object_name, 1) as [BaseObjectObject]

FROM

sys.synonyms obj INNER JOIN sys.schemas sc ON sc.schema_id = obj.schema_id

ORDER BY

[Schema] ASC, [Name] ASC;

I’m especially interested if there are any nulls returned.

You can send the result set directly to me ( igor.manokhin@ quest.com )

Thank you!

Igor.
