Launching Spotlight and setting up a user.

I’m fond of launching spotlight from Toad for Oracle under monitor session browser. The first 2 database connections worked perfectly. The second and third give me this error.

The Spotlight User Wizard has encountered an error. An error was reported for table “CreateATPkgBody” in connection “DRSD0.USPS.GOV”.

The error is:

ORA-24344: success with compilation error
2658/10 PLS-00201: identifier ‘DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT’ must be declared
2658/10 PL/SQL: Statement ignored
in table createATPkgBody

Any ideas on how to get around this? It doesn’t make sense that it works in some and not others. The databases are installed the same and they are the same version.

There is no one interested with the problems?

OK. I got it, this is a shit-like marketing strategy. After you encounter with this error, you should contact with them. So, they need not to try to connect with you. not worth to look at this product, and not worth to try it.

Hi Cynthia,

Can you check that your Oracle Spotlight user has the “execute on dbms_job” grant and if not, grant it before recompiling this package?

A full list of grants required by the Spotlight user is available in “Database Objects and Privileges - Spotlight on Oracle.htm” in the “\Console\Help” directory,
