I just migrated to 5.0 and lost my snippets. I can’t find any documentation on where they’re stored. Can anyone help?

Melanie

Hello Melanie,

You can copy all snippets manually from this folder:

c:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for
SQL Server X.x\Templates\Snippets\

to

c:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for
SQL Server 5.0d\Templates\Snippets\

I will double-check Snippet’s migration…

regards,

Alexander

Hello Melanie,

I’ve double checked and found that Snippet’s migration works fine
when I migrate it from 4.6 GA to 5.0.0.544 GA build. Did you lose only snippets
during Migration?

You can initialize migration by deleting (or renaming your current App folder
for 5.0) and try to migrate your settings from prior releases once again.

And one addition to my previous post – this folder structure is for XP. To
be absolutely sure you can find your App folder from About window:
