Macros in TDM3???

#1

In TDM2, I created default constraint names using internal macros (e.g. PK__%tablename%). This, however, doesn’t seem to work in TDM3. Is this something that might come back?

There are all kinds of ways I can replicate the same type of functionality if I script it myself and create a package, but this is a lot of work for something that seemed so simple before…

Hello Michael,

Unfortunately, internal macros are not supported in TDM3 now. There’s not an easy way how to replicate this type of functionality in TDM3 either. We’re sorry.

Nevertheless, let me inform you that we will definitely deal with this task in the future. CR # 38 986.
Thank you for your patience.

Just additional info:

In TDM2, I created default constraint names using internal macros (e.g. PK__%tablename%).

Import of the values from TDM2 to TDM3 is supported. (Except these: %tmplProcedureName% - stored procedure name and %tmplViewName% - view name). In, TDM3 3.0.11.11 there were some small troubles, however this was already fixed for next TDM3 release.

Have a nice day.
