Object Explorer Procedure Creation date

#1

One of the first option I turn on in Toad-SS-Beta release updates is the one for
Creation and modification date. As far as I can tell the creation-date is
updated when you drop and recreate and the reference-date is never ever updated
for any reason like when you use the procedure or ALTER it. So I plan to find
out from Microsoft what the intent was for that field.

Regardless of that, I would like Toad-SS to enable both fields or show the
values for sysobjects in the Object explorer and the View Details. Currently
only the creation data seems to be present in View Details.

Also, since a manual refresh on the object explorer is always being requested
and I understand that this should be a manual process so as not to buzz the
database ever so often, but It would be really handy to know the last time the
refresh was performed. So please consider putting that information somewhere on
the Object Explorer bar. This is a repeat of a historical request that was
discussed with Igor or Henrik in the past…

Yes, it seems there is some glitch. In my case (latest beta) creation and
modification dates are not displayed if I change the view of the LHS (e.g., from
treeview to tabbed multiline or vice versa). After I reselect the options to
show those dates, they are displayed OK:

Igor,

Interesting for I did as you did and now It is coming up null instead of blank…
Sooo, I cannot reproduce your success in getting these items to display.

Hi Hank,

Nulls are the known problem which I believe will be resolved soon. As for the
not showing dates – I agree, there is a problem and we’ll be
creating CR to address it.
