ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

IF v_emps_rec MEMBER OF V_EMPS –v_emps_rec MEMBER OF V_EMPS

THEN

END IF;

when i use the v_emps_rec MEMBER OF V_EMPS the ORA-03113 raise. If i change IF 1 = 1…IT IS OK. Why? tx.
