Problem with MINUS (I think)

#1

Hello,

If I evaluate an expression like

SELECT ‘x’
FROM DUAL
WHERE NOT EXISTS
(
SELECT ‘x’ FROM DUAL
MINUS
SELECT ‘y’ FROM DUAL
)

in the code editor, I get the errors

15:51:00 **** SCRIPT STARTED 21-01-2009 15:51:00 ****
15:51:00 SELECT ‘x’
15:51:00 FROM DUAL
15:51:00 …
15:51:00 ORA-00928: missing SELECT keyword
15:51:00 SELECT ‘y’ FROM DUAL)
15:51:00 ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
15:51:00 **** SCRIPT ENDED 21-01-2009 15:51:00 ****

SQL*Plus returns “no rows selected”.

Hi Dominique,

You’re correct. This is a bug in SQL Nav 6.1 but it has been resolved in our internal build. You can recheck it when the beta is available.

Thanks
Gwen

When is to be expected a new beta ?

#4

Hi Filipe,

We haven’t come up with an official date yet but we hope to get 6.2 out some time in April. As a result, we will try to get a beta out as soon as possible. Maybe at the end of this week.

Cheers
Gwen
