Just joined the forum, looks interesting :).
I have an issue and I wondered if anyone can help.
On Spotlight ver 188.8.131.5280, we get intermittent alerts for some monitored Servers.
Monitored Server - SQL Server Connection Failure: A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The specified network name is no longer available.)
Monitored Server - SQL Server Connection Failure: A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)
When it happens, several servers are affected, so I think its to do with the monitoring server ie Spotlight, rather than the monitored servers. There is no issue in the error logs of the monitored servers.
Are we exhausting the Spotlight Diagnostic server somehow? Has anyone else experienced this? if so what do we need to do?
Appreciate any help.
