Toad for SAP shutting down

I’m using Toad for SAP v3.0.0.129 in a Windows 7 environment. I am connecting to a Sybase ASE 12.5.4 database. When I am editing stored procedure scripts, at times it will suddenly shut down with no error message. Usually I am highlighting some piece of code and deleting it or just typing something. Its happened about 8 times in the last hour. In my system events, it shows this:

Faulting application name: toad.exe, version: 3.0.0.129, time stamp: 0x5570a7a3
Faulting module name: QP5.dll, version: 5.280.15138.21804, time stamp: 0x5559b9e6

Is there something I need to set in my Options settings to make the environment more stable?

Hello steveK,

this looks like as more specific problem to your procedure then environment. I tried connect to our ASE 12.5.1 and editing some stored procedure but I wasn’t able reproduce problem which you described.

Can you please provide to us more information?

  1. Could you try if you are able reproduce problem also on some system procedure or if you are able give us some example procedure where you are able reproduce.

  2. Can you send me ExceptionTrace.log from Toad Application Data Directory? You can open this folder in Toad -> About -> Application Data Directory

Thanks
