# Toad Xpert version

Hi all, I am new to Toad. I downloaded the latest version 17 client for my Windows 11 desktop. Question, the Quest Support email advises that I don't need a License Key only register my License Number - which I did through the License Portal. But when I open Toad, it is asking for a license key. Am I missing a step or have downloaded the wrong client installer. Thanks in advance. I have also raised a support ticket, and they send the same message and link which takes me to my account profile. Not really helpful.

It sounds like you have a Toad for Oracle Subscription license, but have downloaded the Toad for Oracle with offline licensing installer. You can find the Toad for Oracle Subscription installer here.
