# Transferring Snippets and Settings

I need to transfer my snippets and settings to a new install on a different machine. Specifically, I want my snippets, auto-replace, formatter, and other similar settings.

I believe that I can copy the contents of a specific folder to the new machine and that will work. Can someone advise me as to what exactly I need to copy?

Go to Help -\> About, there is a link “Application Data Directory”. Copy this folder to your new computer.
