Unix Monitor Not Working

Due to increasing load on our Sun Oracle 10g R2 database server running Solaris 10, we are interested in monitoring its performance, particularly CPU Usage and Process Queues. But I only seem to be getting process information and the uptime. We are setup to connect using Secure FTP/SSH. In order to investigate what is wrong, I would like to know the process the Unix Monitor uses to connect to the database, what are the exact commands are used and how the retrieved data is parsed for display. The data being retrieved may not be what is expected.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Sure Dave, I’ll contact you offline

I wrote the commands back on Solaris 8 and 9 – so it could be that Solaris
10 or 11 has things different in the commands we call …. Maybe include me
in the offline talks J
