My organization uses a windows active directory OU to manage connections to their Oracle databases. When I setup a connection I use a user id and password. When I click connect, Toad connects to the database but then automatically changes my user name to a generic name for the OU directory. Is there a way to prevent Toad from changing my connection properties? The change requires me to open the properties box and change the user name every time I connect.
After TDP established connection it checks actual current user name and stores it in Connection Properties. That’s why your name is changed.
The name is used later to check the privileges.
Unfortunately there is now way to keep the user id.
Darn. Thanks for the reply. Looks like I will just have to open it every time… or get my company to change the OU process to reflect our user id.
