Version Control

#1

Heyas,

despite a successful configuration of Version Control (via subversion), the
pane’s “Locations” and “Objects” dont show any information. Due to this i cant
add objects from the object explorer to my repository.

Any help appriciated

regards
Marc

Marc,

I tried to recreate your issue and also had some problems going through Tools->Options->Version Control->Locations when my target connection is not the active connection in the browser before clicking on the ‘Tools’ option. Could you either verify that your target connection was the active browser connection before clicking on the ‘Tools’ option or try that and let me know the result.

Hello Helene,

You are referring to the database connection shown in the toolbar, right? I only
have one connection open and both the editor and the object explorer window are
attached to that connection. I tried it several times, and nothing worked for
me.

Marc,

I guess better late than never however this is the response from the programmer responsible for Version Control.

The reason there aren’t any “locations” and “objects” are that they have the “File” version control configured, which isn’t for handling database objects. They need to use the wizard instead.
