# was this a legitimate message from the Toad list

I replied to his gmail account…maybe now I’m being phished or  
something.

Erwin,

the from address looks a little suspect! Jive Forums? Although it is simple to  
spoof the from address of course.

Anyway, that message is not one I’ve received here via the list, so I suspect -  
as often happens - that people send a direct email to someone on the list.

I also suspect that the reply address ( [noreply@quest.com](mailto:noreply@quest.com) ) is also bogus. After  
all, why have a reply address that begin ‘noreply’.

I’d file under “suspicious” for now, until any better information comes along.

Huh. Yeah, I got the same thing. I replied to [ameeshadoshi@gmail.com](mailto:ameeshadoshi@gmail.com), answered  
the question, and asked the sender to please post to the yahoo group instead of  
sending me private messages.
