XML export

Is ther anyway to export a model/tables to xml.

We use xml/xslt as a means to document our database.

Hello,

Physical and logical models of TDM3 (.TXP and .TXL files) already are in XML format. They are saved this way by default.
However, if you needed some other format of XML, you would have to write your own generator or report, which is possible, however not easy at all.

Hi,

Sure. You can convert logical model to physical via Sync & Convert wizard. Click File | Sync & Convert | Sync & Convert Wizard or File | Sync & Convert | Simple Model Conversion.

the original question was posted 3 years ago…

In the current version of Toad Data Modeler you can export database structure to XML and do also some XSL Transformations. Click Model | Reports / XSL Transformation and choose item Complete XML (XML) from the first combo box. You can also generate XSD file for the XML - click button More and then click Save XSD File As
