Are you about to move to Windows 8?

Just curious if you think to move to win8 next year? you probably have a different upgrade timing or even do not consider it at all.

my notebook is 5 years old and in the first six months of 2013 I would like to change it.
I think to buy a new machine with Microsoft Windows 8 with operating system.

I’m interesting to know if do you think to support MS-Windows 8 with TOAD 5.x ?
If yes, when ?

We are just getting our machines onto Windows 7 so there are no immediate plans to go to Windows 8. Windows XP was doing everything we needed it to do and really only changed because XP was coming to the end of its support life. So if I had to guess, we would not migrate until 2014 at the earliest.

just so you know - TSS 5.8 was tested on Windows 8. Works fine so far! Several minor issues were detected that we are going to fix in the next version. You definetely can get a try.

I understand perfectly. When you release a beta of the next new version I try to install it in a vmware environment with Windows 8 as operating system and test it.

I hope there aren’t problems to install a TOAD beta version in a vmware environment…
