Can we copy files from a file location to a share point URL using Toad Data Point ?
Thank you
Sorry we don’t have such functionality, I’ve submit an enhancement request QAT-4520 for it.
Thank you! I removed the http part from the URL and it worked fine.We also can map the sharepoint folder to a network drive and it also worked.
It used to be that you could use the UNC path to the SharePoint site/folder to post the files - we did this successfully in TDP 3.3 under Windows XP.
With TDP 3.5 and 3.6 under Windows 7, using the UNC path fails unless there is a Windows Explorer instance already open to the root of the SharePoint site when the automation runs. While not a horrible issue, it seems a bit ridiculous that something that worked fine before suddenly does not now.
I’m not tracking with what is occurring. Can you provide more detail of the steps and perhaps a screen shot(s) (This obviously was not done intentionally…)
Hi Debbie, I’ll send you an email - can’t post the files here.
Okay, I got your email of what you are doing. I tested doing the same with our Sharepoint and had no issues. That just means we are missing something. I closed all explorers and copied file using UNC path to Sharepoint shared dir. What version of Sharepoint are you using? Are you Admin on your PC. What OS do you have now, win 7 64-bit?
We found that when you lower your UAC settings that this error occurs. We entered QAT-4638 to fix.
