I received the above error message when trying to preview a pie chart I created after working through the chart wizard. The pie chart displays OK in the Report Designer Tab.

I’m using TDA 3.0

Any ideas what I need to do to solve this issue?

I can use a pie chart in the preview of report designer.

Can you create the pie chart again and see if you get the same error? Also, try in a different report.

Post the full error stack so we can see the cause of it.

I have deleted and recreated the pie chart and obtian the same error when selecting Preview. As suggested i have also tried a different report and get the same error.

When I click the OK button to close the Error message window, how do I get the full error stack as no other window is present?

Post your exceptiontrace.log file which is located in your App data dir. I’ll look and see if I can find something there to help. Also, post or email me your tdr file with pie graph. Perhaps I can replace the query with something and produce the eror here. (Or you could make tdr report querying adventureworks or some demo table.
