Generate Test Data

Hello,

I read through the Generate Data help information and I am not clear on something. When the run key (green arrow) is pressed in Generate Data does that tell Toad to go-ahead and generate the data into the table(s) immediately or does it create an INSERT script somewhere to do that?

Yes, when you press ‘Run’, it’s inserting into your table. However, you can press the ‘Show SQL’ button (next to the Run button) to see the insert statements,
before you actually decide to run it.
