What is the best way to check for duplicates in one field for an entire results set....using Data Point 5.1
If you have the Professional Edition of TDP, then one of the fastest ways is to send the results to the Data Profiling engine (choose Send To-> Data Profiling off the right-click menu within the results set, etc.) TDP's Profiling Engine does a quick summary of data quality attributes for each column, including uniqueness of values, missing values, duplicate values, etc. Clicking in the Duplicates cell for a specific column will list the records in the set that have duplicate values in that column, per screen snapshot below.
