Why not use the toad data subset wizard – it by definition is a tool for
moving a subset or the entire schema (with or without data) from one place to
another ……
I took a look at the data subset wizard and don’t see how I can get that to do
what I need–which is to select specific rows from various tables in different
schemas queried by a specific value, and then generate insert statement to run
in our production instance. I can’t run it in production, has to be run by a
DBA.
Also, another problem when I extract the data to insert statements–I ask it to
include the schema and sometimes it gets the schema that the data came from,
sometimes it uses the schema I’m working in instead.
