Toad for Oracle on Windows and Toad for Oracle on Mac 2026 R2 are now available.
This release is designed to help you move faster with less risk by combining the depth of trusted Oracle tooling with modern AI-driven productivity. At the center is Toad Chat, now a more prominent part of your experience. Instead of context-switching across tools, you can stay in Toad to explain SQL, run SQL Validate, and optimize queries with guided assistance that improves quality while reducing troubleshooting time. Powered by the embedded Toad MCP in Toad, this experience can securely use your Toad database connection to deliver more relevant, database-aware assistance in real time.
You also get stronger in-editor productivity through AI Code with GitHub Copilot integration, including Copilot Next Edit Suggestion to speed up multi-line and follow-on edits. Across the product, day-to-day usability continues to improve: Session Browser navigation is more efficient with stronger grouping, search, and layout controls; workspace import/export makes team standardization simpler; and connection cleanup is easier with multi-close support in the Connections Bar. Data Grid usability is improved with better search behavior, clearer filtered-row feedback, and improved High DPI rendering of the search box, alongside ANYDATA editing and saved column layouts. You also get Oracle 23c multivalue support in Export Dataset and embedded cursor results in Execute Procedure for a smoother, less disruptive workflow. Team Coding performance improves with options to limit Git history during checkout in larger repositories.
Additionally, this version includes many more quality-of-life enhancements and fixes that make everyday work faster, smoother, and more reliable across the product. If you want the best Toad experience—with the latest AI capabilities, usability improvements, and performance gains—this is the release to upgrade to. Download 2026 R2 today.
