Unable to connect to db2 using Toad 3.1.1.488

I am able to connect to a db2 database from the command Line processor.

But when I try to create a new connection in Toad, even though it picks up the database information from the db2 client, the correct id and password Give the error

System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException

Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information.

Hello,

Could you please forward a support bundle (Help->Support Bundle)? My first impression is that there is an issue with your .NET environment since the DB2 CLP does not leverage .NET and Toad for DB2 is a .NET based product. Also Toad for DB2 3.1.1 is very old at this point. I would be interested in more details of your experience with later versions of the product. What version of .NET do you have installed on your desktop?

Hi,

I’m facing the same problem.
Was there a solution to this?

Thanks,
Darren

Darren,
Nope. None so far. I am not using toad for now.

Please try upgrading to the latest version of Toad for DB2 and let us know if
that version has corrected your issues.
