In my Oracle home in the registry I have the following value for NLS_LANG
AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252
This is the value in my 9i HOME which I use for TOAD 11 connections.
In the database I have the following value:
NLS_CHARACTERSET UTF8
I know this is the mismatch. As the result, I get the common error where I get “strange” characters appearing, for example, in the datagrid where the columns for a table are described.
What is the SOLUTION to this?
