Check if file exists and validate before loading

Hello there,

I have just started using Toad DataPoint for automation. The process I am trying to automate requires a file to be uploaded to database.

• Is there a way to check if file is available?

• Is it possible to do a pre-validation on the file, or something similar?

The last file I processed had comma delimited text in one cell. Although the .csv had it enclosed in quotes, the script failed the row as it considered the data for multiple columns instead of one.

See if you can tell it that text is enclosed in quotes, so it will skip the commas inside of a field. If you are using the import tool and the column is using double quotes (Field1,"some text, some more text, etc.", Field3) in the quotes box put in a double quote (").
