Hello and good afternoon,
i want to configure Toad for Oracle in that way that on the logon screen there should not shown the tab ‘Direct’, i want the users only that they can select an existing tns name.

Unfortunately that’s not possible. You’ll need to control access to
your databases at the database level.
Even if you were to disable the ‘Direct’ tab, you could still enter
the direct connect information in the logon screen manually. Toad has supported
this connect mechanism for a long time, even before we surfaced the
‘Direct’ page in the login screen.

Or Martin, you can use Toad Group Policy Manager : it can restrict the databases
the users can connect to.
