Editing of procedures

Hi,

Since TDM only handles Procedure (functions, triggers, etc) as text we develop these in TOAD for Oracle then put the procedure into TDM.

The process is;

  • get current controlled version of procedure from TDM
  • install this on the test database
  • make changes, debug, test in TOAD for Oracle
  • test in application
  • update/create procedure in TDM

It would be helpful to automate this process to reduce the risk of error.

As a minimum it would be useful to be able to create DDL for just selected procedures (etc) and RE just selected procedures (etc). Linking TDM with TOAD for Oracle to edit procedures (etc) would be better.

What plans are there for this sort of thing and when will they be available?

Thanks for your suggestions.
Unfortunately, at the moment there's no way to do what you require.
You can only clear the Generate checkbox in the Procedure Properties dialog not to generate particular procedures in DDL script.
