Error while connecting toad to db2 running on VM

Dear all,

I am using Toad for DB2 V 4.7.2 installed on Windows XP SP3. My DB2 database is on RHEL 5 Running on virtual machine of Vmware.

I confirmed all the configuration are correct. But when i am connecting i am receiving the below error.

“ERROR [08001] [IBM] SQL30081N A communication error has been detected. Communication protocol being used: “TCP/IP”. Communication API being used: “SOCKETS”. Location where the error was detected: “10.1.5.37”. Communication function detecting the error: “selectForConnectTimeout”. Protocol specific error code(s): “0”, “", "”. SQLSTATE=08001”

Please confirm that Toad can be connected to db2 running on VM ?

Hi Sumit,

Toad should be able to connect to a DB2 running on VM. Please verify that you can connect to the database using the Toad DB2 client CLP.
