Execute in SQL*Plus-do you want to save window

Hi,

I do not know how to suppress showing that dialog when executing some code in SQL Editor and then calling “Execute in SQL*Plus”.

Thank you in advance,

Damir

It will always show if the editor is modified although it could probably be hidden if the editor tab is not associated with a file. We have to pass a filename to SQL*Plus so it gives you the opportunity to save it. If you chose not to Toad saves it for you as a temp file.

Hi MIchael,

Clear-I do not use filename, so tmp file is used (I see it dir defined in Toad settings).

But I would like to skip this question dialog. I have settings do not ask when close Toad …so I would like the same behavior if possible.

Next beta will not prompt to save Editor contents when sending text to QSR, SQL*Plus, or Code Analysis. In the past you would be prompted to save a modified editor first, but if you answer "No" then they work just fine w/o saved file. Now text is sent as it exists in the Editor and file saving is left up to you to do as needed.
