I am wondering if there is any way to export an ER Diagram to PDF format, or any other common format from which a third party can print it…?

I think your best bet as this point is to do a screen-capture, but I agree it would be nice to be able to at least save as a jpeg or gif…
We found a good workaround yesterday:
Instead of printing to a printer, print to “Microsoft Office Document Image Writer”…which creates a “.TIF” file which can be emailed and opened I’m guessing by anyone with Microsoft Office.
This can be found in the printer selection drop down box.
I mean to try a ‘Print to File’ but got sidetracked - i’m glad you were able to get it working!
