Export Utility Wizard in Toad 12

I’ve just upgraded my Toad for Oracle to Toad 12.

In prior versions of Toad for Oracle it was possible to use the Export Utility Wizard.

In Toad 12 I get the following error message:

EXP-00056:

ORACLE error 1031 encountered

ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

Username:

EXP-00030: Unexpected End-Of-File encountered while reading input

EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

Any suggestions why this happens ?

Hi Alex,

Just a guess, but maybe you’re using a different Oracle home?

You might also want to check options > executables to be sure the correct exp.exe is being used.

I also couldn’t help but notice the “Insufficient privileges” message. Do you have the proper grants to export these objects?

Hi Brad,

Thanks for the quick reply.

My Oracle home didn’t change, actually nothing changed other than upgrading Toad.

I suspect the folder I’m trying to write into does not have write privilege. It used to work in the prior version, that’s why I’m confused (unless it is a bug ???).

I’m still trying to figure out how I can do it.
