whenever I type just 'select'.Please help me in setting this shortcut.
View->Toad Options.
Editor/behaviour
Click Code Templates button.
Click ADD button.
Set shortcut name = sel
Set Description = Anything you like.
Click OK.
In the middle pane of the main dialoge, enter the text:
select * from |
Note the pipe character, this is where the carat will be placed when you
execute this macro.
Click ok until you are back in the editor.
Type in sel and press CTRL+SPACE. Sel will be replaced by "select * from
" and the cursor is waiting for you at the end, to type in the
tablename.
