I do pretty good but every once in a while when I select something so I can copy it, TOAD will seize up and start churning for a while. Toad wants to describe what I selected.
Is there a way for me to turn off the “gesture” so I am not penalized when I move to quickly.

Toad will describe when you press F4 or CTRL+Click a token. In options on the Editor|Code Assist page uncheck the two "CTRL+Click " options. Moving the mouse alone shouldn’t trigger a describe so if your doing a select (with CTRL down) immediately followed by a drag operation w/o releasing CTRL then that will trigger it.
