Would be nice if Toad for SQL Server followed the layout of Toad for Oracle instead configuring like SSMS. Woudl be nice to have a monitor sessions like Toad for Oracle instead of like SSMS Profiler. The object browser is clunky like SSMS. Would be far superior to model after Toad for Oracle. Toad for SQL Server is not much more useful than SSMS. I didn't get Toad for SQL Server to have another poor performing product like SSMS.
I agree with edz that the interface could match the user type from there database of choice. If you are familiar with Toad for Oracle then have the option to use that UI when looking at a SQL Server database. If Quest is looking to switch SQL Server database users to Toad for SQL Server instead of SSMS, then a UI closely matching SSMS familiarity would go far in bringing SQL Server database users to Quest.
Let the user choose a UI profile
