Loading a package results in error: no parent window

All,

When I load a package into the editor, I get the following error:

I’m not sure what this means. I’ve saved the error log.

After I click OK, normal editor operation resumes.

Any exceptions you get in the editor, feel free to just send the log files my direction. Michael.staszewskiquest.com

I’d restart anytime you get an unexpected exception. It might be asking for additional problems to continue in that Toad session.

Michael,

I’ve sent you the error log by separate email.

If I am to restart Toad for every error I get, I will have to quit using the beta.

Errors like these occur for (nearly) every script or object definition I load into the editor…

Thanks, I’ve received your email. I understand the frustration on restarting. If you’re not restarting after errors please indicate which errors you receive are
first errors of the Toad session. The errors I’ve been receiving have consistently been failure to allocate a graphics resource. Subsequent errors are likely if you’re able to power through the first.

I can reproduce this dragging a package from the Schema Browser. I assume that any drag operation will reproduce it. If you’re dragging then you can use the Load
from Database window in the Editor or click the Load in Editor button in the SB as a workaround.

Michael,

I do indeed normally open my files by dragging them from the projects window. The leading version of any object is kept in our source control system to allow us to back any changes when the need arises. Oracle ‘not very good’ at version control
