Subject: [EXTERNAL]RE: [Toad for Oracle - Beta Discussion Forum] Team Coding Code Collections DEFECT - Database Objects Name Mask Overwritten
Hi Cindy,
Thank you for reporting this.
I have added to our buglist. Because there is a viable work around, this will most likely not be included in the GA release at this stage.
Stephen

Subject: [Toad for Oracle - Beta Discussion Forum] Team Coding Code Collections DEFECT - Database Objects Name Mask Overwritten
Hi,
There is a defect in the way the Name Mask field works on the Collections pop-up window. If you enter the Name Mask as ‘All’, and then click the button beside the field to see all the database objects in the group, the word ‘All’ is overwritten when you return to the pop-up window.
Here the steps:
-
Add or Edit a Code Collection
-
Type All in the Database Objects ‘Name Mask’ field
-
Click the ‘…’ button on the right side of the ‘Name Mask’ field
-
View all the objects in the group on the Load Database Object popup window
-
Click OK on the Load Database Object popup window
-
Now Name Mask field is overwritten with the name of the first object in the group and the word ‘All’ is overwritten
-
So, if you happen to notice this, you need to blank out the field and re-enter ‘All’. However, a person may forget to workaround this defect
