Toad 12.0.1 breaks Formatter

Hi

I’ve just applied the Toad 6.0.1 64 bit patch and it has broken the Formatter for me. All formatting I do is now picking up the default settings - which aren’t our company standard.

If I go into the Formatter settings, it still shows the correct settings and gives me the correct format in the preview window, but formatting in the standard editor windows doesn’t. It does however still put in the correct header text at the top.

I have also experienced the same issue. Quite annoying!

Hello,

I’m trying to reproduce this issue and I haven’t had any luck. I’ve tried at least 1 setting from each formatting category. I confirmed the settings were
turned on and worked. After I restarted Toad the settings are sticking fine and continue to work. Can you tell me specifically which settings are not sticking?

The ones I’ve noticed so far are:

We have all of our code in lower-case, but the formatter is putting it in capitals.

In our select clauses we have the commas at the beginning of each line, but they are appearing at the end.

We have a space inside the parentheses which is not being put in (eg: we get “NUMBER(10)” instead of “number( 10 )”).

Wow, coincidentally, these are the exact 3 options that I tried and saw no problems with them.

If you go to options > Formatter. You will see the location of your FmtPLus.opt file Toad is using at the top. Does this look correct to you? For me, it
points to the one in my current 12.0 user files

Nice to hear. But only today’s next beta containing qp5.dll version 5.256 will take over the workaround.
